We should choose the right kind of fat-appetizers so that we can eat less and therefore lose weight. Eat a small amount of healthy unsaturated fats like nuts, olive oil, avocado and fish like salmon before meal which slows the rate of your digestive system to get empty. It means that you feel full faster. It also keeps your blood sugar from rising and therefore makes your body absorb other fat-soluble nutrients.

Puto Bumbong is a Filipino delicacy that is only available during Christmas season. This is one of the favourite Filipino Christmas treat that goes side by side with Bibinkang Puti and is best paired with a cup of hot native chocolate. How I wish I could go home and attend the dawn mass! It has been a Filipino tradition that every after attending the dawn mass, people would usually flock to a food cart that sells puto bumbong and bibingka to warm their empty stomach. Now, this delicacy comes in three flavors, namely: langka, buko pandan and the classic purple puto bumbong.

Noche Buena is a feast shared by every Filipino family during Christmas Eve, usually after attending the anticipated Christmas mass. The food usually served in the Noche Buena is a revelation of the various cultural influences that is adopted by the Filipinos. Chinese cuisines such as Pansit (noodle) dishes are all sautéed dishes that appear in sumptuous varieties. While baked hams and fried chicken give it a western touch.. While adobo, which makes a prominent appearance, is from a Spanish origin. But of course, the native flavours that are added to these dishes make it a distinct Filipino dish.
